Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg 1st Acute

Location: Penn Yan, New York 14527
Facility: Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital (SSMH) – Level 1 Med/Surg Acute Unit
Contract Duration: 22–26 Weeks
Schedule: Full-Time (36 Hours/Week)
Shift: Rotating Day / Evening / Night (3x12s)
Start: ASAP

Compensation & Schedule

• 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
• 3x12 Hour Rotational Shifts
• Every Other Weekend Required
• Holiday Rotation Required
• 2 On-Call Shifts Every 4 Weeks
• Contract must run through holidays

Minimum Requirements

• Active New York RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Minimum 2 Years of Med/Surg RN Experience
• Previous Telemetry/Cardiac Care experience preferred
• Must be comfortable floating to oriented units

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient-centered nursing care in a Medical/Surgical Acute Care setting.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and nursing interventions safely and accurately.
• Monitor telemetry patients and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge care.
• Maintain accurate documentation within facility guidelines.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement standards.
• Participate in patient rounding and provide compassionate, evidence-based care.
