Job Title: Skilled CNC Vertical Mill Machinist
Reports To: Manufacturing Manager
Supervises: None
Employment Type: Regular
Working Time: Full Time
Work Location: Fraser, Michigan

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set-up, identify tools required and run jobs with minimal supervision.
• Machine Castings, Weldments and billets to print spec
• Set work offsets, load programs and touch off tools.
• Understand purpose and functionality of components being machined.
• Have own basic trade tools.
• Lifting up to 25 lbs.; heavier load sizes with assistance.
• Perform equipment preventive maintenance
• Must be able to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Understands, implements and maintains the Company's quality policy in the performance of all duties and responsibilities

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

• Interpret Blueprints and GD&T to make educated decisions.
• High level experience in machining: knowledge of clamping and cutting techniques; thorough understanding of speeds and feeds; understanding of material properties and being able to match equipment and techniques to various materials.
• Able to use basic inspection equipment. (micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges)
• Understanding of N.C controller G and M codes, manual programming capable.
• Hurco and Fanuc controller experience a plus
• Knowledge of Master cam preferred or equivalent NC programming software.
• Mechanical aptitude a plus
• Experience with parts up to 36” in size a plus

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

• 10 years minimum CNC mill experience
