Job Title: Skilled CNC Vertical Mill Machinist
Reports To: Manufacturing Manager
Supervises: None
Employment Type: Regular
Working Time: Full Time
Work Location: Fraser, Michigan

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set-up, identify tools required and run jobs with minimal supervision.
- Machine Castings, Weldments and billets to print spec
- Set work offsets, load programs and touch off tools.
- Understand purpose and functionality of components being machined.
- Have own basic trade tools.
- Lifting up to 25 lbs.; heavier load sizes with assistance.
- Perform equipment preventive maintenance
- Must be able to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Understands, implements and maintains the Company's quality policy in the performance of all duties and responsibilities
Minimum Skills and Competencies:
- Interpret Blueprints and GD&T to make educated decisions.
- High level experience in machining: knowledge of clamping and cutting techniques; thorough understanding of speeds and feeds; understanding of material properties and being able to match equipment and techniques to various materials.
- Able to use basic inspection equipment. (micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges)
- Understanding of N.C controller G and M codes, manual programming capable.
- Hurco and Fanuc controller experience a plus
- Knowledge of Master cam preferred or equivalent NC programming software.
- Mechanical aptitude a plus
- Experience with parts up to 36” in size a plus
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
- 10 years minimum CNC mill experience
