Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Location: Alameda County, CA; Contract To Hire; Accounting Management; $50/HR to $65/HR Century Group is partnering with a client seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $50.00 to $65.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, cash activity, payables, receivables, and fixed asset accounting. Lead month end, quarter end, and year end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and management reports. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis by identifying trends and providing actionable insights. Assist with system enhancements, process improvements, audit support, and finance related projects. Requirements A Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to leadership responsibilities. Previous experience within healthcare or other regulated service based industries. Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, and close processes. Prior experience working with ERP systems and participating in system implementations or conversions. Qualifications CPA designation, public accounting experience, or experience in investment backed organizations. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports. Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
