Role Description

We are seeking an experienced AI Cloud Engineer (1099‑BOP) to support a federal-facing cloud modernization and AI enablement initiative. This role focuses on designing, deploying, and optimizing AI/ML workloads on AWS, including Bedrock, serverless architectures, and secure cloud environments. The engineer will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and high‑performance AI solutions.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or DevOps.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.).
Experience with AI/ML workloads, including model deployment, optimization, or integration.
Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, generative AI services, or LLM-based architectures.
Proficiency in Python, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Experience supporting federal or regulated environments.
Familiarity with secure cloud architectures and compliance frameworks.
Experience with serverless AI pipelines or distributed systems.
AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Machine Learning, DevOps) are a plus.

Benefits

This is a 1099‑BOP contract role.
Compensation is competitive and aligned with experience and technical depth.
Contractors maintain flexibility in schedule, remote work, and project-based engagement.
Additional benefits are not included under 1099 arrangements.
