Senior Supply Chain Specialist (Direct Hire)

We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in a high-impact role essential to our operational success. In this role, you will hold dual ownership of both our procurement/sourcing strategies and production planning lifecycle .

This professional will be responsible for ensuring that material supply and inventory levels flow seamlessly throughout the organization by analyzing sales forecasts, managing customer demand, and working cross-functionally across departments. Acting as a key collaborator with our vendors, you will represent the company’s commitment to these valued partnerships.

Position Overview:

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Compensation: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 (Based on experience)
• Employment Type: Direct Hire / Permanent Placement
• Location: Onsite position in the Covina, CA area

Key Responsibilities:

• Dual-Ownership (Procurement & Production Planning): Seamlessly manage both end-to-end purchasing/sourcing activities and production planning schedules to meet organizational goals.
• Demand Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze sales forecasts and customer demand data to build, implement, and adjust material purchase plans and production timelines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the central bridge between departments—coordinating closely with Quality Assurance, Shipping & Receiving, and other internal teams to ensure an aligned and smooth supply chain flow.
• End-to-End Oversight: Manage multiple product lines from point of origin to point of consumption.
• Inventory Optimization: Analyze inventory usage, scrap, and waste to provide strategic insights for improving overall inventory flow.
• Global Sourcing: Proactively source high-quality materials and identify potential vendor resources worldwide.
• Logistics & Balance: Develop strategic approaches to balance shipments, shortages, and logistics while efficiently managing engineering changes and cancellations.
• Material Coordination: Manage material movements between storage areas and external suppliers to guarantee parts are available precisely when needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum BA/BS Degree in a business, supply chain, or related field.
• Experience: 5–7 years of supply chain experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Medical device/Ophthalmology/Optometry experience is a strong plus).
• Technical Expertise: Highly proficient in Material Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) systems with a proven track record of handling both planning and purchasing modules.
• Global Relations: Proven experience building, negotiating, and maintaining international and domestic supplier relationships.
• Tech-Savvy: Advanced skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel (data analysis), and CRM platforms.
