Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Ottumwa, IA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 07:00 - 19:00

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to mothers and newborns during labor and after delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous labor support for patients during active labor (1:1 patient ratio).
• Manage couplet care with an optimal 3:1 patient ratio after delivery.
• Utilize intermediate fetal monitoring equipment to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to evaluate and implement care plans for mothers and newborns.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE.
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed within the hospital.
