About The Job

As a senior electrical engineer in the Manufacturing organization, you will design and build complex systems and PCBA platforms to test our products. You will create data acquisition and physical layer interfaces using FPGA, MCU, and off‑the‑shelf equipment, enabling our systems to meet stringent quality standards. Collaborating with firmware engineers, you will support board support packages for embedded Linux and help bring up MCU RTOS platforms. This role demands creative problem‑solving, continuous improvement of automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.

What You’ll Do

• Design circuits and schematics for test automation platforms.
• Integrate designs into Anduril’s PDM systems, following the same process used by product design teams.
• Design and source PCB assemblies of varying complexity – from FPGA‑based data acquisition boards to MCU platform interfaces, breakout boards, wiring harnesses, or peripheral modules.
• Architect and source circuit board test fixtures, integrating them with internally developed and off‑the‑shelf data acquisition equipment.
• Build an internal library for test circuitry, leveraging expertise in DFM/DFT.
• Bring up, debug, and characterize circuits and interfaces, including low‑speed (I2C, SPI, CAN, etc.) and high‑speed signals (RF, memory, USB).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience with emphasis on product designs that have gone to manufacturing.
• Proficiency with professional electronics design packages (Altium, Cadence, PADs, etc.) for schematic capture and layout.
• Expertise in PCBA design and the ability to design and fabricate your own boards or guide contract manufacturing resources.
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition sensors.
• Experience with Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems and releasing designs for production.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export‑controlled information or facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience scripting with Python for configuration and automation of setup tasks.
• Familiarity with FPGA PCBA platforms – RTL design, synthesis, and bare‑metal coding.
• Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

US Salary Range

$159,000—$211,000 USD (estimate)
