Staff Pharmacist | Details and Compensation:

• Location: Taunton, MA 02780 - 100% on-site
• Payrate: $65.75+/hr - based on clock-in time
• Required Availability: Full-Time (40+ hours/week) | Varied shift start times/lengths
• Shifts may start as early as 8:00 AM and may end as late as 12:00 AM
• Weekends optional (not required)

Staff Pharmacist | Summary and Highlights:


The Staff Pharmacist supports safe, accurate medication dispensing and provides patient consultation in a high-volume pharmacy setting. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws, maintaining accurate patient records, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy.

• This position is a contract assignment (approx. 8 weeks / 60 days) with potential to extend based on business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Staff Pharmacist | Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify, dispense, and counsel on prescription and non-prescription medications (dosage, storage, interactions, side effects)
• Maintain confidential patient records and ensure proper management of pharmacy documentation/files
• Monitor medication compliance patterns and identify potential medication-related problems; communicate effectively with prescribers and healthcare teams
• Support services and patient education (e.g., device education such as BP monitors/glucose meters)
• Perform compounding and preparation activities as applicable, following proper procedures (including sterile preparation when required)
• Supervise pharmacy staff (including pharmacy technicians/clerks) and support workflow execution
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and pharmacy/medical supplies
• Ensure all pharmacy activities align with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards

Staff Pharmacist | Requirements:

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• Licensure: Active Pharmacist license in Massachusetts (required)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
• Ability to work a flexible schedule within a 24-hour pharmacy environment, including shifts that may start as early as 8:00 AM and end as late as 12:00 AM
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety, quality, and confidentiality
