The systems will span a variety of operational frequencies (e.g., 10 MHz to 10 GHz) and range of powers (e.g., 10s kW to 1 MW). The successful candidate will work closely with both the Engineering and Physics teams to develop these technologies from the design of the antennas, matching networks, transmission lines and instrumentation, to the procurement of component parts, to the commissioning and operation of the systems. He or she will work closely with RF physicists to design systems that meet stated requirements. About YouExperience with Matlab/Simulink or other applications used in the modelling of antennas, matching networks and transmission lines.Experience with RF hardware from ~50 kW power levels and greater using solid state or vacuum tube technologyAmplitude, frequency and phase control of multiple sources.Ability to present complex RF problems in simple and effective manner.Ability to work independently as well as a member of the RF Team.Accuracy and the ability to identify and correct shortcomings in proposals and designs.Ability to rapidly gain new knowledge of RF systems and to identify new approaches.Project Experience: At least 5 years’ experience with radio frequency systems in an industrial, scientific or broadcasting environmentOther Preferred Experience:Interest in large science or R&D projectsEducationB.S. in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplineM.S. in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline (preferred)At TAE Technologies, we consider a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and job-related knowledge, training; licenses and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered (Sr., Lead or Manager).
