Commercial Loan Workout Officer

The client is seeking a Hybrid Remote Commercial Loan Workout Officer to support assigned commercial customers through effective portfolio management and relationship building. The role focuses on personal accountability, strong credit knowledge, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage credit-related processes for delinquent or at-risk borrowers. Key responsibilities include coordinating the collection of information needed for portfolio reviews, reviewing loan files for completeness and proper collateral security, and communicating regularly with seriously delinquent borrowers to identify and counsel on appropriate workout options. The officer will negotiate workouts with relevant parties through to final close, prepare credit presentations or memos with financial and collateral analysis, and recommend risk rating changes as appropriate, while providing customer service related to collections and resolving discrepancies and short payments. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field and at least 3–5 years of experience in a commercial lending role involving business development and credit administration, with prior credit analyst experience preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills are required, along with proficiency in standard office applications. The officer will also research delinquent accounts, support the impairment process by monitoring potential non-accruing accounts and reserve needs, ensure adherence to applicable credit and collection policies and documentation requirements, and may perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
