Job Overview Applebee's is seeking a Server to greet guests, serve food and drinks, and provide a friendly dining experience. The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to the Applebee's service steps. Responsibilities Serve food, drinks, and accommodate guests' needs in a courteous and timely manner following Applebee's Ten Basic Service Steps. Deliver food and drinks to guests using the Applebee's team delivery system. Answer questions, make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service. Relay orders to the service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system. Observe guests and respond to any additional requests. Present guest check to each table and accept a form of payment; make correct change and complete charge-card procedures. Participate in clearing and resetting dining room tables. Qualifications Ability to obtain a State-approved Seller/Server Certification. Ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, and booth seats; pick up debris off of the floor. Transfer plates, glasses, and baskets between dining room, service bar, and kitchen about 30 times per shift. Read, write, basic math, and verbal communication skills required. Mobility required during the entire shift. Transport glass racks and cases up to 25 pounds (e.g., a case of beer) up to 15 times per shift.
