Press Operator I

Job Title
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Adjust, and operate stamping presses and other secondary metal processing equipment
- Make small adjustment to feeder equipment to feed material into press
- Perform in process checks on parts and minimize scrap
- Maintain a clean work area
- Perform work in line with quality requirements and ensure that parts are made to print
- Operate a forklift on a regular basis
- Data entry on computer system
- Perform daily safety checks on machines
- Run single stroke hand feed and automatic presses
- Turning on and turning off the machine
- Make stock guides adjustment
- Additional items as assigned by Supervisor

Education and/or Experience:
- High School graduate or GED
- Previous experience operating Press Machines preferred but willing to train
Equipment Used:
This position will use a stamping press, other metal forming, fabricating and processing equipment.
Working and Physical Conditions:
This position works on the manufacturing floor. They must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time. As well as lifting and kneeling are required.
