state's specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents. Essential Functions
- Safely transports residents to doctors' appointments.
- Reports significant changes in resident's condition or poor tolerance for travel.
- Schedule and keep record of all patient appointments.
- Completes a safety checklist and takes corrective action prior to operating facility vehicles
- Assists residents to enter and exit the vehicle.
- Makes deliveries, picks up supplies and equipment and load and unloads vehicle.
- Takes vehicle for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Answers front desk phone when in the facility.
- Unpacks and organizes central supply.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
- Skilled at operating a motor vehicle safely.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to be patient and polite.
- Knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance procedures.
Licenses/Certification Valid driver's license required. Current CPR certification required. Experience Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred. Previous experience as a courtesy driver preferred
