About the Position

Job Title: Childbirth Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience required License: Registered Nurse License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN) required Description: Provide family-centered care for patients with antepartum medical conditions. Care for patients in labor and patients giving birth, including vaginal and Cesarean-section deliveries. Support postpartum patients and those with gynecological conditions. Interact with patients of adult age on an inter-disciplinary level. Effectively communicate with individuals based on their intellectual level and physical ability. Consideration given for postpartum nurse candidates instead of Labor and Delivery nurses. Flexible scheduling options may be available, including 48-hour work weeks. Required to work three 12-hour shifts per week. Every other weekend is required.
