Job Description

Join Our Team as a Barista at Southern Maid and Gute Coffee Shop!

Are you passionate about great coffee, delicious treats, and creating memorable customer experiences? A Heightened Experience is looking for a skilled and friendly Barista to join our team! As a unique donut shop and full-service coffee/espresso bar, we’re dedicated to elevating the "traditional" coffee and donut experience. If you have a love for high-quality beverages, delectable pastries, and connecting with people, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Barista at A Heightened Experience, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and serving a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages to perfection.
• Assisting customers with their orders, offering recommendations, and ensuring they have a delightful experience.
• Handling food items, including our freshly made donuts, bagels, kolaches, and other treats.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar and seating areas.
• Managing transactions accurately and efficiently at the register.
• Supporting the team in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for all guests.
• Learning how to decorate and finish donuts, in order to fill empty trays.

We’re seeking a candidate who brings enthusiasm, skill, and a customer-first attitude to the role. To thrive as a Barista with a Heightened Experience, you should have:

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a coffee shop or café setting.
• A strong passion for coffee, tea, and high-quality food.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A team-oriented mindset with a positive and friendly demeanor.

At Southern Maid New Braunfels we’re more than just a coffee and donut shop – we’re a place where people can connect, relax, and enjoy the finer things in life. Our café offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of outlets, making it the perfect spot for our customers to stay awhile. We pride ourselves on pairing the highest quality daily-made donuts (a tradition since 1937!) with fair trade teas and coffees, as well as a variety of other decadent treats.

If you’re ready to bring your barista skills and passion for exceptional service, we’d love to hear from you! Apply today and take the first step toward becoming a part of our team. Let’s create something extraordinary together.
