Salary: $143,700 - 194,400 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent
• Experience programming in at least one software language
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships
• At least 2 years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Knowledge of software engineering practices across the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployment, testing, and operational excellence
• Familiarity with agentic software development tools such as Kiro, Claude, or Cursor

• Develop new ambient intelligence experiences across Alexa, Fire TV, and mobile and wearable devices, emphasizing proactive assistance
• Prototype, test, and deploy features using multimodal inputs such as camera, audio, and documents to create personalized experiences
• Build persistent, context-aware customer experiences that continue across devices and surfaces
• Design, build, test, and operate scalable backend services and libraries for AI- and LLM-powered features
• Integrate and strengthen model providers, tools, and agent capabilities through clean, versioned interfaces, with attention to failure handling, observability, cost, and latency
• Develop evaluation and regression tools to measure and validate AI behavior
• Apply security-conscious, fail-closed design to systems involving credentials, user data, tool execution, or autonomous actions
• Use AI coding assistants by breaking down suitable tasks, critically reviewing generated code, and maintaining engineering quality
• Build products, features, and tools from the ground up for developers and customers
• Collaborate with internal teams and product partners to define and deliver solutions
• Write production code, contribute to designs, and mentor others
• Work safely and cooperatively, communicate respectfully, uphold company policies, and exercise sound judgment
