District Mechanic

This vacancy is for a two Full-Time 1st Shift District Mechanic positions. Our maintenance staff are an integral part of our team at Southern York County School District. This positions are responsible for grounds work, electrical, plumbing, HVAC equipment repair, and controls work. While experience in these areas is preferred, the District is willing to train a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn. Ability to obtain applicable pesticide license needed. Tuition reimbursement for job related skills is available. This positions work 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, 12 months/year. The hours are typically 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday - Friday with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break. Periodic overtime is needed on nights and weekends. The entry level starting rate for this position is $21.75 per hour, with consideration given for significant applicable experience. Upon hire, hourly employees will also receive a $100 bonus.
