Outside Sales PositionOutside sales position in which professional tenacity, perseverance and a high level of integrity are an absolute requirement. Responsible for growth of the mortgage lending business through sales in the local community.Essential Job FunctionsSolicit residential home loan referrals (purchase and refinance) from realtors, builders and other parts of the communityMeet with potential borrowers to analyze financial situation and needs for purchase or refinance, gather necessary documentation for the loan process, etc.Provide necessary documentation to processing and underwriting departments to ensure timely loan closingsOther duties as assignedRequirementsJob SpecificationsMinimum Education: High School or EquivalentMinimum KnowledgeAbility to analyze complex financial situations to determine best case solutions for clientsAbility to prospect local markets (i.e. cold calling in person) to solicit new businessExperience with Conventional, Government and Alt-A lendingHands on experience with DU / LP is helpfulDemonstrated communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently with little or no supervisionMinimum ExperienceMinimum of 1 year current loan origination/"loan officer" experience in the local market with a track record of proven successPhysical RequirementsMust be able to navigate throughout the building, travel throughout the community, physically present self at real estate and other customer offices for marketing purposes. Must be able to hear and communicate well.
