Laser Operator$54,080-$62,400/year1st7:00am-3:30pmWe are seeking an experienced Laser Operator to operate and maintain laser cutting equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for keeping production moving, ensuring parts are cut accurately, and preparing completed parts for the next stage of production. This is a direct hire opportunity in Kansas City, MO.Laser Operator Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipmentMonitor machines throughout the cutting process to ensure quality and accuracyWork with automated loading and unloading systemsRead and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production specificationsInspect finished parts and identify errors before they move to the next operationTroubleshoot machine or part issues and make necessary adjustmentsUnload, organize, and stage completed parts for welding or other production areasPerform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organizedMaintain production pace while meeting quality and safety standardsWork independently and manage multiple jobs or priorities as neededLaser Operator Requirements:Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment requiredExperience with Mazak, Bodor, or similar laser equipment preferredExperience working with automated material loading/unloading systems is a plusAbility to read blueprints and understand part orientation and specificationsComfortable using basic measuring tools to verify part qualityStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to recognize mistakes and make corrections before parts move to the next stageStrong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervisionPrevious sheet metal or fabrication experience preferredQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
