Make a meaningful impact by supporting students in a school setting as a dedicated Physical Therapist on a contract basis. This part-time opportunity allows you to focus your skills for just 3 hours each week, making a difference in the lives of students while fitting seamlessly into your schedule.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Current Illinois licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to ethical and evidence-based practice
- Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate student needs
Responsibilities Include:
- Assessment and development of tailored physical therapy interventions for students
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, special education staff, and families to create supportive plans
- Documenting progress and maintaining clear, timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Communicating caseload specifics and addressing any questions regarding student assignments
- Attending Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as necessary
- Educating and involving students, families, and staff about the importance of therapy interventions
