Job Specifics

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, consisting of physical examinations and comprehensive health histories
• Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions by evaluating imaging studies and laboratory results
• Engage closely with surgeons in the formulation and implementation of tailored surgical treatment strategies
• Offer invaluable intraoperative support, such as preparing surgical suites, guaranteeing optimal patient positioning, and managing instrument handoffs during operations
• Provide outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which includes medication management, wound treatment, discharge processes, and patient education

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preferentially completed clinical rotations with a focus on surgical practices

Certifications Needed

• Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
