About the Role

As an Inside Sales Representative at Sulzer, you will assume a multifaceted role that encompasses customer service, sales, and project coordination. This position is pivotal in building and maintaining essential relationships across the organization, connecting with ISR peers, Area and Regional Sales Managers, Operations teams, and our customers. In this key role, you will be instrumental in facilitating efficient, consistent, and clear business processes among various departments including sales, operations, and customer support. This central position in the organization offers a unique opportunity to interact with all aspects of the business, making it an ideal role for candidates who are experienced or new to the industry but are eager to learn and grow. The ISR position is not only critical for our day-to-day operations but also offers the chance to deeply understand and engage with the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Power Generation industries, providing a robust platform for professional development and career advancement.

Responsibilities

Create and manage customer information in the company's ERP business system

Support customer visits onsite and offsite occasionally

Provide project status updates and serve as liaison between operations and customer for updates regarding deliveries, customer service issues, etc.

Proposal Management

The ISR is solely responsible for the generation of proposals.

During the proposal process ISR serves as liaison between customer and operations for any commercial and/or technical clarification.

Utilize CRM system to communicate details of opportunities with the ASM and integrate with quotes from the ERP system.

As part of this position, you play a crucial role in the financial management of projects and will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing the project financials to ensure accuracy and approve final invoicing.

Responsible for executing the proposal generation process within the ERP business system

Revise or create proposals based upon inspection results or other in-process workscope changes

Ensure all proposals are reviewed per Sulzer's internal delegation of authority and create Margin Summary Review sheet

Manage the storage / archiving of the proposals and related information

Project/Commercial Management

The ISR is responsible for facilitating the completion of projects from the point of purchase order receipt to final invoice approval.

Manage the receipt, review and processing of all purchase orders associated with their assigned ASM's and business units.

Manage the release of all project scopes and project hand-offs to the operations group(s).

Coordinate and manage as needed the resolution of project issues, questions, and concerns.

Facilitate communications between the customer, ASM and operations group.

Perform invoice review and proforma approval.

Quality / Continuous Improvement

The ISR is responsible for supporting the companies Quality / Lean initiatives to improve and add value to our customer's experience.

Develop and maintain skills and procedures required for the generation of the highest quality proposals.

Support operations quality improvements.

QESH (Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health)

The company is committed to having a zero accident workplace and that requires the involvement of all employees.

ISRs are committed to following and complying with Sulzer's QESH regulations.

Takes personal responsibility for their own, and co-worker's safety.

Identify problems and areas of improvement and notify management accordingly.

Ensure customer visitors have received the required safety induction, are properly signed in and have the required PPE while on shop visits.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree.

• Proficient use of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization.

Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

Time management skills.

Understanding of basic financial concepts.
