Location Columbus, MS, 39702,United States Job Category 3-11 RN Supervisor Employee Type Reg Full Time- Non-Exempt Manage Others Yes Description The duties and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse – Charge Nurse include the planning, directing and supervising of resident care, providing direct nursing care to residents, and to supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants and orderlies within the United Methodist Senior Services. Such care and supervision will be in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations and as outlined in established policies and procedures at United Methodist Senior Services, to maximize fulfilling the care-giving needs of residents. The person(s) holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities. Requirements Preferred Qualifications RN degree from an accredited nursing program, college or university. At least two years experience working in a hospital, long term care facility, or other health care institution, with training or experience implementing total patient care and care planning, and in making sound nursing judgments; will have knowledge of State Department of health and federal guidelines; will have taken courses in nursing management or supervision and in rehabilitative and restorative nursing; hold membership in professional association(s). The Registered Nurse - Shift Supervisor will have knowledge of State Department of Health and federal guidelines. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 21 years old.
