Litigation Associate

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join our team. In this role, you will manage a caseload of personal injury matters from inception through settlement, advocating for clients and working to secure fair compensation for their injuries.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and strategically litigate a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, including complaints, motions, oppositions, and other legal documents to support case progression
• Draft and respond to discovery, including meet-and-confer correspondence and discovery motions
• Prepare for, take, and defend percipient and expert depositions
• Argue motions and oppositions in court and at remote hearings
• Draft mediation briefs, attend mediations, and actively participate in settlement negotiations
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy and evaluate case value
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case updates and developments
• Prepare pre-trial documents and trial materials as needed
• Participate in hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
• Supervise and provide guidance to litigation assistants and paralegals

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing
• 2+ years of personal injury litigation experience required
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to client advocacy, professionalism, and integrity
• Excellent research, analytical, and negotiation skills
