Class A Route Delivery Driver

Position Details Average yearly income $80,000+ per year, with quarterly safety bonus opportunities. 5‑day work week Monday through Saturday (no Sundays). Days off vary; flexibility required. Possibility of team routes and overnight layovers based on business needs. Dispatch range 12 AM to 5 AM; 10‑hour shifts on average; all ramp work. Position Purpose Food and food service delivery drivers play a critical role in the country's food supply chain. They ensure customers' products arrive by their scheduled times, in good condition, and serve as the face of our company by building lasting relationships with customers. Job Functions Perform all required safety checks (pre‑ and post‑trip), including inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations. Report any safety issues or required repairs. Follow all DOT regulations and company safe‑driving guidelines and policies; immediately report any safety hazards. Inspect trailers for proper loading and securing of freight. Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices. Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly. Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are properly locked and/or secured at all times. Unload damaged goods and customer returns; complete necessary paperwork and procedures at the end of the shift. Remove trash from trailers as required. Comply with daily record‑keeping and hours‑of‑service requirements, adhering to DOT, state, and company policies. Uphold overall safety standards and follow guidelines for handling freight throughout the delivery process. Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience. 12 months of commercial driving experience. Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable). Must be 21 years of age. Meet PFG Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) requirements for the past 3 years. Pass pre‑employment drug test. Meet PFG FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements. Pass road test. Be able to secure a new DOT Medical Card. Be able to hand‑lift and utilize a two‑wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move or stack product cases and freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift; product generally ranges from approximately 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the location. Must be able to work the assigned schedule required for the position. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. English language proficiency is required.
