Clinical Operations Supervisor

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence is looking for a Clinical Operations Supervisor at BMC to join our team!

The Clinical Operations Supervisor is a valuable resource for nursing and non-nursing staff across the hospital. They possess the authority to make critical decisions in nursing practice in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act of Massachusetts, following established policies at the unit, department, and hospital levels. In emergency situations, they have the power to make broader decisions and collaborate with the Administrator-On-Call (AOC), even accessing additional resources as needed.

This role is dedicated to ensuring high-quality and safe patient care, with a focus on achieving zero patient harm. They actively monitor and promote best practices aligned with national patient safety goals and the Patient Care Services (PCS) initiatives at BMC, emphasizing safe care transitions, nursing-sensitive indicators, and positive patient and family experiences.

Schedule:

  • Per Diem
  • Days 8a-8:30p and Nights 8p-8:30a (looking for mostly day shift pick up but flexible for nights)
  • Work a minimum of 36 hours total in a 6-week schedule period
  • Must include (1) 12-hour weekend shift and (1) 12-hour major holiday per year
  • Location: Baystate Medical Center Springfield

Qualifications:

  • Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
  • Three years of inpatient nursing practice with leadership/supervision experience.
  • Education: Associate's degree in nursing required
