Eurofins companies offer a portfolio of over 200,000 analytical methods to evaluate the safety, identity, composition, authenticity, origin, traceability and purity of biological substances and products.Job DescriptionThe Scientist position is an intermediate-level professional position involved in somewhat complex day-to-day activities in a laboratory setting under prescribed processes (protocols, standard operating procedures, methods, etc.). Perform a wide range of analyses (routine and non-routine) primarily but not limited to the molecular, cell biology, and virology test areas of Biopharmaceutical Services. Review and evaluate raw data for acceptability, set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department, and willingness to learn molecular biology technology.QualificationsThe ideal candidate would possess:Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesPCR technique exposure/experienceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in biology, molecular or cell biology, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipAdditional InformationPosition is full-time, Monday-Friday, first or second shift , plus additional hours as needed.
