Senior Data and Analytics Developer

Senior Data and Analytics Developer Full Time Perm | Hybrid – 3 days on location | Columbus, OH | Relocation assistance provided. Salary: $96,600 – $144,900 plus an 8% annual bonus. The Data and Analytics organization is the newly established advanced analytics arm of the company, building a talented team that leverages best‑in‑class tools and techniques to solve high‑value use cases. Responsibilities Act as subject‑matter and business intelligence expert in enterprise analytical technologies and drive adoption of self‑service analytics capabilities. Develop and implement analytics solutions, including data models, data sets, reports, dashboards, and integrated analytics, to solve business needs, accelerate insights, and inform actions while adhering to data governance and BI policies and standards. Consult with the Data Product Owner on the design of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Data Lake environments to maximize data quality, accessibility, and re‑usability. Establish, promote, and monitor adherence to policies and standards for business intelligence products. Partner with IT to ensure technical stability and performance of user‑facing technology, and establish upgrade strategies and roadmaps. Develop a strong understanding of business processes, the company enterprise platform, and table structures/relationships to extract and report correct data. Develop interactive dashboards and promote their use with internal stakeholders. Develop and manage personal deliverables, timelines, and milestones related to assigned projects. Leverage complex SQL and Python functions to extract and shape data. Automate the monitoring of datasets for completeness and data quality. Incorporate predictive solutions with embedded BI functions and begin to introduce data science concepts to analytics solutions that require coding or scripting. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum: 3+ years of experience with data acquisition methods and tools (Tableau Prep, SQL, Python). Minimum: 3+ years of experience with data visualization and analysis software (Tableau, Excel, Cognos Analytics, PowerBI). Minimum: 3+ years of experience working with relational databases. Preferred: Related experience in the utility industry. Preferred: Experience with statistical modeling. Preferred: Experience as a data steward and knowledge of data governance.
