Job Title: Travel RN - PICU Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital PICU RN experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS & PALS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PICU RN experience. BLS & PALS certification. Description: This position is for a Travel RN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The unit is a Level II Trauma facility. It has 15 beds and a staff of 38. Staff includes Intensivists, RNs, Desk Techs, Respiratory Therapists, Dietary, and Case Management. Night shift staffing includes an Intensivist, RNs, and Respiratory Therapists. The patient ratio is 2:1. Types of equipment used include General CR Monitoring and EMR systems. Typical procedures performed on the unit include IV starts and blood draws as well as TPT placements. Candidates should have experience working under pressure and in a teaching hospital.
