Oncology Nurse Practitioner

Nocturnist NP/PA Locum Tenens Job - Inpatient Hematology/Oncology Wisconsin

We're seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens nocturnist opportunity supporting an inpatient Hematology/Oncology/BMT service.

Schedule
Monday-Friday: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
Saturday-Sunday and select holidays: 4:00 PM-7:00 AM
Rotating nocturnist schedule

Details
Provide overnight care for Hematology/Oncology/BMT patients
Complete initial assessments, comprehensive histories and physicals, and admissions
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing
Develop and monitor treatment plans
Respond to nursing and caregiver concerns and changes in patient condition
Enter and communicate admission, transfer, and treatment orders
Perform appropriately credentialed procedures
Collaborate with fellows, attending physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
Complete progress notes, procedure notes, and other required documentation in Epic
Receive sign-out at the beginning of each shift and provide thorough sign-out to the daytime team

Preferred Experience
NP or PA with inpatient/acute care experience
Hematology, Oncology, BMT, or chemotherapy experience strongly preferred
ACLS and BLS
Appropriate NP/PA licensure and certification
WI licensure is preferred
