Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

Location: Westminster, Maryland Position: Full-Time (or Part-Time) Certified Hand Therapist / Occupational Therapist Specialties: Outpatient Orthopedics Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 Incentives: Up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus and/or ongoing student loan assistance About the Role This is a full‑time (or part‑time) Occupational Therapist / Hand Therapist position for an outpatient team focused on upper‑extremity care. Candidates should have prior outpatient orthopedic experience; a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation is preferred but not required. The role involves treating a diverse caseload of upper extremity conditions and collaborating closely with local and regional hand therapy clinicians. Responsibilities Treat a diverse caseload of upper‑extremity conditions, including tendon injuries, sprains & strains, post‑operative fractures, and other orthopedic and neurological conditions. Apply custom splinting techniques and support patients throughout the rehabilitation process. Work closely with hand therapy clinicians and leaders to ensure access to tools, mentorship, and support. Collaborate with local and virtual hand therapy team meetings and contribute to specialty program development. Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures in collaboration with managers and referring physicians. Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations. Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency, and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with referring physicians. Maintain comprehensive and individualized treatment programs, and complete patient care documentation in a timely manner. Stay current and evidence‑based in occupational therapy practice, ensure compliance with state practice acts, and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program. State occupational therapist license (or license‑eligible). CPR certification. Valid state driver's license.
