Medication CoordinatorLocation: Baldwin Hills, CASchedule: Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pmEmployment Type: Contract OpportunityAbout the OpportunityWe are seeking a detail-oriented Medication Coordinator to support medication access, prior authorizations, and prescription workflow management within a healthcare setting. This role works closely with providers, clinical staff, patients, and insurance companies to help ensure timely access to prescribed medications and a positive patient experience.The ideal candidate has experience navigating insurance requirements, managing prior authorizations, and supporting medication-related processes in a clinical or healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate medication refill requests and prescription-related workflowsSubmit, monitor, and follow up on prior authorizationsReview clinical documentation to support medication approval requestsCommunicate with insurance providers regarding medication coverage and authorization requirementsMaintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) systemAssist with medication access solutions and patient support resourcesCommunicate updates to patients, providers, and clinical staffCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient medication management processesSupport ongoing operational and medication-related projects as neededQualifications1+ Years as a Pharmacy Technician or Medical AssistantPrior authorization experienceExperience working with EMR/EHR systemsUnderstanding of insurance verification, medication approvals, and pharmacy benefit processesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWhat We OfferOpportunity to gain experience within a collaborative healthcare environmentMeaningful role supporting patient access to medications and continuity of careTeam-oriented culture focused on quality patient outcomesHands-on training and onboarding supportExposure to cross-functional collaboration with clinical and administrative teamsPotential for future growth opportunitiesJob Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
