RN - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Night Shift

Join a dedicated healthcare team providing specialized nursing care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting. This full-time night shift role involves planning and delivering professional nursing care tailored to the unique needs of neonatal patients. You will have opportunities to assume charge nurse responsibilities and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess neonatal patients and identify their care requirements.
• Organize, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient care documentation.
• Support patients' cultural and spiritual needs within medical guidelines.
• Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, demonstrating leadership and organizational skills.

Education and Experience

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the relevant regional licensure.
• No prior experience required; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Effective organizational and leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs of neonatal patients.

Physical Requirements

• Good speech and auditory acuity for effective communication.
• Visual acuity to monitor patient conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift frequently.
• Potential exposure to blood or other infectious materials.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Active Registered Nurse license.
