Location: Juneau, AK

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE; exact shift details depend on scheduling needs. The pediatric clinic operates from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Description: This position focuses on providing outpatient Speech-Language Pathology evaluations and treatments for both adult and pediatric patients. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for patient assessment, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapy interventions to enhance functional abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide services based on physician referrals in various settings, including outpatient and home health.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy treatment plans.
• Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care and equipment needs.
• Educate patients and families regarding therapy exercises and self-care methods.
• Supervise support staff, students, or interns as necessary.
• Participate in community service initiatives and health promotion efforts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical space.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alaska.
• Certified Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience in pediatric and outpatient settings preferred.
