Medical Secretary

Primary duties will include but are not limited to: Greeting patients in a friendly, professional manner Answering, screening, and directing phone calls to appropriate parties without error Checking patients in and out; facilitating test ordering, follow-up appointment scheduling, etc. Calling physical appointments, a day before to remind patients Calling “no-show” patients and rescheduling them for another appointment Following processes related to timely and accurate electronic filing Delivering patient messages to physicians, care teams and patients Assisting with prior authorizations for prescriptions Scheduling patient appointments Calling/scheduling patients on pursuit lists Requirements: High School Diploma / GED One year experience in a fast paced clinic environment, preferably in a family practice/internal medicine setting The ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing Energetic, professional manner EMR proficient, Cerner experience preferred Excellent Computer Skills, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word a plus Salary Range: $25.00 - $27.92/hr #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrance Memorial Medical Center
