Medical Biller

Job Details Job Location: Murrieta, CA 92563 Salary Range: $21.00 - $25.00 Hourly The medical billing representative performs a variety of billing and administrative tasks including claim submission, claim correction, insurance follow up and appeals, insurance verification, answering patient calls regarding billing, returning patient calls, setting up payment plans, patient demographic review/ updates, insurance verification, and follow up on past due accounts. Job Qualifications Education: High school diploma with at least 2 years experience in a medical office setting. Understanding of revenue cycle process, including billing and collections Ability to read ERA/ EOB Athena EMR experience a plus Experience with denial/ appeals process Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to problem-solve in a timely, professional manner. Ability to withstand varying job pressures, organize/prioritize related jobs tasks, and excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in medical software, Microsoft Windows, and keyboard. Responsibilities Customer service incoming calls and limited face to face consultation with patients. Set up payment plans, maintain and monitor accounts. Patient accounts receivable. Processing of mail/correspondence. Verification of insurance coverage and benefits. Additional Job Requirements Hearing, vision and sensory skills adequate for obtaining accurate information. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times, both on and off the job. Attend work regularly as scheduled.
