Veterinary Nurse

Description Veterinary Nurse We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dependable Veterinary Nurse to join our team. This position supports veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care while helping ensure pets and their owners have a positive, comfortable experience. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures Collect patient histories and accurately document medical records Perform blood draws, place IV catheters, and collect diagnostic samples Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Monitor hospitalized and surgical patients Perform Dental Prophylaxis nd Full Mouth Radiographs for anesthetized patients Assist with anesthesia, surgery preparation, and patient recovery Perform laboratory testing and obtain diagnostic images when trained Educate clients about medications, preventive care, and at-home instructions Maintain clean, organized treatment areas Provide gentle, low-stress handling and compassionate patient care Requirements Job Requirements Veterinary nursing or veterinary assistant experience preferred CVT, RVT, or LVT credential preferred but not required Strong animal-handling and patient-restraint skills Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Comfortable discussing patient care and instructions with pet owners Ability to lift approximately 40-50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and follow established medical protocols Dependable attendance and a genuine commitment to exceptional patient care Must be able to HAVE FUN! #J-18808-Ljbffr Urban Veterinary Associates
