Semiconductor Engineering Technician-Gloucester, MA

Engineering Technician role needed for an 18‑month contract to hire opportunity in Gloucester, MA. In this role you will assist engineers and scientists as they create, modify, and test products and processes. Pay Rate: $30–$34 per hour. Shift Hours Available: 2nd Shift: 3:45 PM–2:15 AM, Monday–Thursday 4th Shift: 7 AM–7 PM, Friday–Sunday What You Will Be Doing HV electrical, high vacuum and mechanical troubleshooting. Modify/rebuild modules, perform calibrations, measure particulates, metals testing and demonstrations. Carry out complex work using analytical/scientific processes or procedures. Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum and process testing on equipment per Engineering and Manufacturing documentation and specifications. Assembly, integration and calibrations of semiconductor capital equipment, plasma etch platforms, implanters (high current, medium current, PLAD) or equivalent equipment in a clean room environment. Work autonomously within established procedures and practices. Exchange ideas and information effectively; use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others. Observe all safety standards, maintain a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment, attend required health and safety training and follow safety and security policies, procedures and practices. Use protective equipment (PPE) when required and use equipment and materials properly. Actively strive to prevent accidents and injuries. Qualifications Associates degree preferred. Minimum high school diploma and 4–7 years of technician training/experience in a high‑technology area. Minimum of 2–3 years of semiconductor experience, VCS training on other VIISta tools a plus. Understanding of electrical circuitry is required. Some travel may be required.
