What You’ll Be Doing As our next Quality Control Inspector (2nd Shift) , you will be at the center of confirming the quality of Sarstedt\'s products via visual, dimensional and functional testing. Responsibilities Collect and visually inspect random samples from various machines and assembly operations Measure samples using calipers, indicator gages, and go/no go gages Effectively utilize centrifuges, desiccators, and contact angle measuring devices for functional testing of products Stay organized and efficient in documenting all inspections, measurements, and functional testing Responsible for initial assessment of product at production start, including visual inspection, measurements, functional testing, establishment of bag weights, and confirmation of line clearance Clear documentation and communication of product defects to the Quality Control Leadperson and appropriate production staff Responsible for the initial isolation of defective product Weigh and record scrap as needed Maintain a clean and organized workspace with a strong emphasis on safety Safety is always top of mind, following all guidelines and reporting any concerns immediately What You Bring High school diploma or GED; and three to six months related experience and/or training Reliability, dependability, and taking ownership of your work Attention to detail, especially for product accuracy and documentation Comfort being on your feet, standing, walking, and moving throughout the shift Hands-on mindset, using tools and equipment safely and effectively Requirements Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday-Friday/some Saturdays) Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and 50+ lbs. occasionally Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with moving equipment and moderate noise Adaptable and safety-conscious, with the ability to work at heights using proper equipment when needed Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in various environments for extended periods How We Reward You Compensation: Starting at $20/hour+, based on experience Paid Time Off: Generous paid time off for you to recharge Flexible Time Off: Two (2) additional floating paid holidays Wellness PTO: Two (2) hours of PTO for annual preventative care, including physical, or vaccinations Health: Affordable medical, dental, and vision plans, plus HSA and FSA options Wellness: Complimentary screenings and wellness assessments Fitness: Discounted YMCA/gym memberships, fitness classes, and wellness challenges Mental Health: Confidential support resources for life and well-being Retirement: 401(k) with company match Leave Benefits: Paid parental leave Professional Development: Tuition reimbursement and career growth opportunities Employee Discounts: Discounts through select SARSTEDT partners About Us Founded in 1961 by Walter Sarstedt as a one person operation in Nümbrecht, Germany, SARSTEDT has grown into a leading global provider of laboratory and medical technology solutions, employing over 3,000 people across 13 production sites spanning Europe, North and South America, and Australia.
