Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Towson, Maryland. This position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards and organizational policies.

The ideal candidate will have strong Med Surg/Telemetry experience with stroke patient care and the flexibility to adapt to unit scheduling and patient acuity needs.

Shift Details

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36 Guaranteed Hours Weekly
• Weekend schedule determined by facility
• On-call schedule determined by facility

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for Med Surg and Telemetry patients
• Monitor and manage stroke and telemetry patients
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Accurately document patient care and treatment progress
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and evidence-based nursing standards

• Minimum 2 years recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience REQUIRED
• Minimum 2 years experience working with stroke patients REQUIRED
• Must be willing to take Telemetry patients as needed REQUIRED
• Must obtain NIHSS Certification within 48 hours of offer if needed REQUIRED
• Must obtain mRs/SIREN Certification within 48 hours of offer if needed REQUIRED
• COVID Vaccination REQUIRED – declinations not accepted
• Candidates with scheduling restrictions will not be accepted
• Resume must explain all work gaps over 30 days
• GBMC Cover Page REQUIRED
• Med Surg Skills Checklist REQUIRED
• 1 Supervisory Reference from the last 6 months REQUIRED
• 1 Supervisory Reference from the last 12 months REQUIRED
• RN License/Nursys verification less than 30 days old REQUIRED
• Active AHA BLS Certification REQUIRED

State License Requirement
