Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), focusing on Gynecologic Oncology. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of gynecological, oncology, and surgical experience, supporting a dynamic team of healthcare providers dedicated to high-need patient populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage medication reactions, concerning surgical outcomes, and symptoms indicative of potential recurrence, via phone and EPIC messaging.
• Provide pre and post-operative education and assessments to ensure patient safety throughout their treatment course.
• Support the clinic's daily workflow, managing a patient population of 30-40 cases, with nurse visits typically ranging from 3 to 6 daily.

Schedule

This position requires a day shift, 5 days a week, from 08:30 to 17:00, with no weekend requirements and no call obligations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred, with a background in SICU, OR, PACU, Post-Operative care, Gynecologic Oncology, Triage, OBGYN, or Oncology nursing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Experience with voiding trials and central line flushes (port flushes) is a plus.
