Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP department within a busy Level 1 trauma center. The RN will support diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs during cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist physicians with catheter placements, device implantations, and electrophysiology studies.
• Ensure adherence to protocols related to patient safety, infection control, and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and prepare patients for procedures.
• Document all clinical activities accurately in electronic health records.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations during procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in VA or a compact state at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, EP lab, or similar setting.
• Demonstrate EP charting experience and procedural familiarity.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Ability to float within scope of practice as needed.
• Successful background check and compliance with facility policies, including fingerprinting and return staff policy.
