To be successful as a Release Train Engineer - VP, you should have: Considerable experience as a Release Train Engineer, Senior Scrum Master, or Agile delivery professional within large-scale, enterprise-level technology organizations, with a deep understanding of SAFe and Agile framework Demonstrated an established ability to oversee cross-functional teams and coordinate delivery across multiple products, platforms, and business stakeholders while navigating competing priorities Excel at facilitating PI Planning, Agile Release Train events, dependency coordination, and risk mitigation, ensuring teams remain aligned to strategic goals and delivery commitments Communicated effectively with executives, product managers, and technology teams, translating multifaceted delivery obstacles into clear insights and actionable outcomes Demonstrated a continuous improvement mindset with experience leveraging metrics, data, and Agile best practices to enhance predictability, delivery performance, and business value realization Other highly valued skills include: Experience within financial services, risk oversight, or regulated environments, with an understanding of governance, safeguards, and regulatory delivery considerations SAFe certifications, RTE, SPC, or Advanced Scrum Master and experience supporting Agile transformations, coaching teams, and leaders in Lean-Agile practices at scale Proficiency with Agile delivery tools and reporting platforms, like Jira, Confluence, using data-driven insights to improve planning, execution, and continuous improvement You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. Purpose Facilitates and coordinates Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to ensure that multiple teams within a program are aligned and delivering value efficiently. To manage dependencies, remove impediments, and oversee the planning and execution of Program Increments. Foster collaboration across teams, ensures alignment with business objectives, and drives continuous improvement in large-scale Agile environments. Accountabilities Facilitate Agile Planning and Events: Accountable to ensure readiness across scope, content and logistics to deliver value through facilitation of team of teams events. Support Planning Execution: Monitor planning execution, facilitate periodic synchronization events, and support cross-team backlog refinement to ensure strategic alignment to business goals. Coach Cross-Team Agile: Provide coaching to teams and Scrum Masters on cross-team agile principles, team events, and practices Mitigate Risks: Identify and track cross-team dependencies and risks, ensuring mitigation to support delivery of outcomes.
