What you’ll do: As a Senior Consultant in our Tax Transformation Consulting (TTC) – Tax Systems group, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of tax technology projects which include implementing tax systems, automating and improving direct tax processes, and training our clients. Responsibilities include: Client Connection: Work with our clients on achieving project goals and deliverables.Delivery: Work as a part of an engagement team and provide high quality deliverables, such as workpapers, implemented tax systems, design documentation, training manuals, and status reports. Raise areas of potential risk to team leaders.Solutions: Participate in the identification and design of innovative technology solutions for our clients.Cross Functional Teaming: Work with others across TTC and Deloitte Tax.People Development: Manage tax consultants on engagements and serve as a onboarding advisor to interns and tax consultants.Business Development: Assist with proposals as necessary The Team At Deloitte Tax LLP, our Tax Transformation Consulting (TTC) practice helps tax departments pursue a streamlined, transparent, and efficient tax function that enhances the core responsibilities of compliance, reporting and planning, while also positioning tax as a strategic business advisor for the digital era. TTC's business services help clients with operating model evaluation, roadmap development for a desired future state, data management solutions, automation opportunities, tax portal, cloud for enterprise systems, agile resourcing models, risk, provision and compliance. Qualifications Required: Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per weekBachelors degree in accounting, technology, finance, business or related field3+ years' experience in implementation of tax systems, including but not limited to Corptax, Longview Tax, ONESOURCE, and Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud Service (TRCS), providing services which include:Assisting in the development of tax systems selection criteriaImplementing tax systems and softwareIntegrating cross-vendor provision, compliance, and planning systemsOptimizing tax systems to utilize recent software enhancementsConfiguring/customizing tax systems to supplement out-of-the-box functionalityUtilizing data wrangling/management tools to further automate the end-to-end direct tax process Demonstrated experience in serving client engagements and working with engagement teamsLimited immigration sponsorship may be availableAbility to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveOne of the following active accreditations obtained, in process or willing and able to obtain: Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPAIf not CPA eligible:Licensed Attorney (or foreign equivalent)Enrolled AgentProject Management (PMP)Six Sigma (Black Belt)Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)Other: Vendor certification for management of implementations (Oracle, SAP, Thomson Reuters, etc.) or relevant industry certification such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), AWS (Amazon Web Services) or GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Preferred: Experience with a Big 4 firm, large ERP/consulting organization, or a large IT department of a multinational company with tax related experiencePrior experience mentoring/developing junior staffDemonstrated track record of assisting with business development and working with clients The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,700 to $177,125.
