Job Details Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Type: Travel nursing assignment Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 10/05/2026 Shift Duration: 10-hour days Schedule: Variable shifts may include days, evenings, 8s, 10s, or 12s Call: Required, including weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed Float: May be required to float within the organization as needed Weekend Coverage: 3 weekend shifts per 13 weeks as needed Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,280 - $2,400 Setting: Level I Trauma Operating Room Charting System: Epic Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Case Volume: Approximately 45-50 surgical procedures per day Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience Ability to scrub in the OR Recent experience in a Level I trauma center Strong experience with DaVinci Xi robotic surgery Strong experience with liver transplant cases Must have experience in at least one of the following service lines: Neuro or Ortho BLS and NIHSS certification required Must be proficient with Epic electronic health record (EHR) Valid compact or Ohio state RN license in hand at time of submission Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment Responsibilities Provide skilled perioperative nursing support across a wide range of surgical specialties Scrub and assist with complex cases including general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine, ENT, plastics, burns, urology, GYN, transplant, and robotic procedures Support safe, efficient operating room flow while maintaining sterile technique and strong attention to detail Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to deliver excellent patient care Participate in call coverage and weekend/holiday scheduling based on unit needs Adapt to variable scheduling and organizational float needs Maintain readiness for a high-acuity, high-volume surgical environment If you are a skilled perioperative RN seeking travel nurse jobs in Columbus, Ohio, apply now and join this dynamic surgical team today.
