Technician-Multi Modality-Full Time Varied-Temecula Valley Hospital

Responsibilities This Radiology Technician is responsible for operating all radiology equipment and performing diagnostic radiology procedures associated with each type of equipment. The Technician must be able to operate in X‑Ray and CT modalities, analyze body habitus to correctly adjust technical factors, position the patient correctly, review physician orders to consistently produce high‑quality images and reduce unnecessary radiation. Essential Job Duties: Operate all diagnostic radiology equipment (fluoroscopy room, portable, and DR room). Perform all diagnostic radiology procedures for each type of equipment. Operate in two other modalities (CT, MR, Cath Lab or IR) in addition to Diagnostic Radiology; adjust technical factors, position the patient, review physician orders to produce high‑quality images and reduce radiation; complete department orientation and/or competency skills rosters as required. Assist the radiologist during procedures (injection, biopsy, drainage) and when needed for contrast reactions or code blues by preparing the room, tray, supplies, anticipating the needs of the physicians, nursing staff and patients. Assist the radiologist during fluoroscopy and/or injection procedures (room and supply preparation, contrast reaction, code blue, patient safety, etc.). Respond immediately to Imaging Lead/Manager/Director for any equipment problems (X‑ray, portables, computers, etc.). Perform other related duties as requested by the Imaging Manager/Lead or Director including, but not limited to: stocking rooms, maintaining a clean work area, transporting patients, etc. Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in two or more modalities (CT, MR, IR, or Cath Lab). Diploma from a certified school of radiology technology. Current California Radiology Technologist (CRT) license with fluoroscopy licensure required. Current American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required. Current BLS (AHA) certification required. For MRI or CT – venipuncture certification required. Minimum two years’ experience as a registered Radiology Technologist in an acute care facility preferred. Benefits Challenging and rewarding work environment.
