Certified Nursing Assistant

Integrity Source Services has unique opportunities to work with children ages 6-17 that have behavioral and emotional challenges. We are looking for Certified Nursing Assistants with a passion to work with this population. Summary Our client is a treatment facility that provides programs that serve children with emotional and behavioral challenges. Our residential campuses provide the setting for an intensive treatment program that combines the unique balance of structure and freedom. This enables children and their families to identify, understand and cope with their individual needs and develop the skills necessary to succeed in less restrictive settings. Job Responsibilities Assist our Nursing staff with various tasks such as checking vital signs, collecting specimen, escorting individuals to their units, administrative tasks, maintaining records, and providing treatment under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Assist with training new CNAs, in addition to crisis intervention (deescalating and restraining as needed). Communicates effectively and tactfully with individuals served, visitors, families, peers, supervisors, and medical personnel. Knowledgeable of individualized care plans and provides support according to the individual's care plan. Supporting a therapeutic environment, while ensuring the safety and well-being of the individual we serve. Conducting daily living activities, including health and hygiene management, cooking, cleaning and recreation Following and implementing behavioral support plans Documenting shift reports, incident reports and individual progress notes Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in GA Experience in a mental health setting is preferred Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
