About This Role
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and daily learning experiences.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Complete developmental screenings, assessments, and child observations.
- Build positive relationships with children and families through ongoing communication.
- Maintain child records and documentation in compliance with HSPPS and licensing regulations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and supervision requirements.
- Participate in home visits, parent conferences, and family engagement activities.
- Attend required trainings, professional development, and staff meetings.
- Work collaboratively with classroom staff, specialists, and program leadership.
- Minimum Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with Infant/Toddler endorsement (or willingness to obtain if program allows).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare or Early Head Start setting.
- Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards and DSS licensing regulations.
- Current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
- SLED/FBI background clearance and Central Registry clearance.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
