Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM Tue 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM Wed 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM Thur 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government services location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions. Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or vehicle entry in accordance with post orders and government location protocols. Support public-facing operations by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with directions, information, and reporting of security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: An armed guard card and/or license is required. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
