Inpatient Pharmacist - Kingman, AZ

Responsible for dispensing prescriptions and monitoring patient drug therapy in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards. This responsibility includes activities inclusive of, but not limited to, medication order/prescription dispensing, IV admixture and sterile compounding capabilities, monitoring of patient medication therapies, counseling patients, documenting interventions, providing drug information and supervising support personnel.

• Alaris Infusion System: LVP, Syringe, Epidural and PCA-ETCO2 and SPO2 monitoring modules
• Grifols USP 797/800 clean rooms in Inpatient and in the Cancer Center Infusion Satellite Pharmacy
• Swisslog™ Pneumatic Tube System


3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Minimum of 1 year experience as an Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist (nightshift experience preferred)
Required IV admixture and sterile compounding certificates.

4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
Active license and in good standing as a pharmacist in the state of Arizona.

5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
Prefer: Night shift (7 on 7 off Thur-Wed) preferred, will be sole pharmacist for night shift and work with 1 night shift technician
If not working night shift, assignment will be rotating shifts between 6AM - 10PM with every other weekends.

Hospital census 130-150 patients/day

8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)

Train on computer and other systems for ~ 2 weeks prior to starting covering shifts.
